Go Green Project
Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Project implemented in Lithuania
40 Young People and Youth Leaders from Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania and Slovenia gathered in July 2025

Youth Team Leader of "Go Green" Project
With the help of Erasmus+, teenagers from Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, and Slovenia — together with their youth leaders — spent an unforgettable week learning, sharing, and having fun. I was one of the participants, and I’d like to share our amazing experience.
If you’re a young person like me, you might sometimes feel bored or unsure of what to do with your free time. Well, worry no more — because I’m going to tell you why applying to participate in such projects is one of the best things you can do right now!
We spent a whole week in a remote area of Lithuania, near the beautiful city of Trakai. The venue was surrounded by forest and located right next to a lake, where we could enjoy playing sports, partying, and communicating with each other all day and night. We also took part in a variety of activities — visiting historical sites and the capital Vilnius and even learning survival skills from our Lithuanian friends.
My favorite part was the cultural evenings we held every night, where participants from each country presented their culture, shared traditional dishes, and taught us national dances that we all loved performing together.
Of course, it wasn’t all fun and games — we also had meaningful educational activities disguised as non-formal learning (which were surprisingly fun!). We gave presentations about the ecological situation in our countries, joined “world café” discussions, helped clean up litter from a local forest trail, and most importantly, took part in an UN-style debate on hypothetical ecological problems and how to solve them.
So, after reading this, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and apply for the next project! It will almost certainly be one of the most entertaining and meaningful trips you’ll ever take. You’ll create lasting friendships, learn about important topics, and have lots of fun along the way. Make an Erasmus+ turn - have a lot of fun and learn!
